Copyright

Copyright laws protect an author’s rights in his or her authored work. The laws are designed to prevent anybody, except the author of the copyrighted material, from copying, buying, or selling these useful arts. Not everything can have a copyright. Rather, only materials of artistic nature such as screenplays, literature, dramatic and musical pieces, art, poetry, books, movies, music, and software are given copyrights.

Violating a copyright can result in copyright infringement exposure. If you find yourself involved in copyright infringement litigation and you are the owner or author of such materials (or if you have been accused of violating someone else’s copyright), you should talk with an experienced and knowledgeable copyright attorney who can pursue your case in a court of law. Alan Geraldi has been protecting the rights of copyright owners for years. He has the knowledge and experience necessary to both obtain copyrights and protect those rights once they are obtained.
